SuperLA

Architectural Firm
The Context

I partnered with SuperLA to implement a custom navigation and complex layout interaction on their existing Webflow site. Working directly with their Creative Lead, my role was to faithfully translate Figma designs into responsive, production-ready web interactions.

The Challenge
  • Legacy Codebase: Navigate and build on top of an existing, inherited Webflow site that was developed without a standard framework or organization system.
  • Figma Fidelity: Translate Figma assets into existing site layout, optimize assets and translate design for responsive layouts
  • Responsive Navigation: Build a custom menu that shifts smoothly between distinct desktop and mobile layouts.
  • Horizontal Scroll: Engineer a custom desktop horizontal scrolling section using Webflow interactions natively, adapting it to standard vertical scrolling on mobile.
  • Interaction Timing: Fine-tune the scroll speeds and animation curves to ensure a fluid, polished user experience.
The Outcome

Using native Webflow interactions, I built custom solutions directly on top of an existing template that lacked a unified class system. By using clean, isolated development practices, I was able to deliver stable, production-ready components without disrupting the rest of the site and legacy class system. The result faithfully executed SuperLA's static designs into responsive features that elevated their site, while providing the clear context and training necessary for low-effort, long-term self-maintenance.
